The VMW3 underwater housing is the 10m/30ft depth housing for the Sony PMW-300 XDCAM camcorder - replacement for the revolutionary Sony PMW-EX3.

The splash and underwater housing can be used on small boats, in the surf, while swimming, snorkeling or scuba diving. It`s easy to operate the camera as its various components and buttons can be operated through the PVC.

Designed specifically for the Sony PMW300 camcorders the VMW3 UW-housing is manufactured from double laminated PVC and has an integrated, optically neutral flat glass port. To allow easy operation just under the water surface, we configured the unit to operate with the monitor mounted into the top of the camera. This allows you to film under water while having your head above the surface and seeing the monitor without a diving mask.

The straps at the bottom allow weights to be attached for perfect buoyancy under water. (see accessories listed below)

Designed specifically for Sony PMW300 camcorders, the ewa-marine VMW3 underwater housing is manufactured from our special, double laminated PVC and has an integrated, optically neutral flat glass as a front port. With this housing you will receive an 82mm adapter and a step-up adapter RA77-82 for 77mm filter thread. By means of these adapters the camera is then docked into the housings front port, ensuring that the lens remains parallel and centered behind the front of the lens. Just as if it were a clear, neutral optical filter.

It has a pair of non-corrosive and seawater resistant clamping rails which fit together for perfect sealing.They tighten by means of four screw knobs. There is also the practical, adjustable carry strap on the clamping rail.

Actually, it's not in a box at all. We sell this unit in a handy, black, nylon carry bag. This bag is ideal to store and transport your ewa-marine housing, it also helps reduce unnecessary packaging-waste and as such is part of our amain to help the environment.
